I'm not sure why I reach for greens and blues when I make these kinds of designs--it must be that they are calming and soothing to me. Rather than black, I matted with slate, which I think softens the design. The flowers were stamped in grey as well, to convey a more subdued tone.
This is a nice fall-to layout to rely on and works exceptionally well for 4 bar note cards (3.5 x 5").
