Play time...
Sorry about the bad pics; I shot this quickly tonight, and in almost the worst of lighting conditions, too. Boo.
Sometimes . . . if you've cleaned house like a mad-woman all morning, cooked an awesome anniversary dinner for the in-laws, cleaned up afterwards, and still have more laundry to attack . . . you just gotta escape. So . . . I did. ![]()
I pretty much love everything about how this thing turned out. Go me! *monkey clapping* White embossed everything on kraft card stock, and colored in the flowers with water-based markers.
And, that is all she wrote, folks. *wink*

Hi, Chris! It is not a single doily/background stamp, but a combination of all the Impress doily stamps, stamped to create the effect of an overall lace background. :) HTH!
Posted by: Julie Ebersole | July 27, 2011 at 09:22 AM
Hi Julie! Would you know if the doily stamp you used in the background is still available? I do not see it on Impress' website. Thanks!

I almost reached out to my monitor, thinking I'd be able to feel all of the wonderful texture of this card! This is seriously beyond gorgeous -- I don't even do real coloring, but this design is making me think I might just have to remedy that pretty quickly. I could look at this all day long -- thank you for posting this for all of us to enjoy!

Hi Julie!
Thank you, your reply was usefull! Should try it once again, because last time it took me too long and I blew away all the powder that didn't stick anymore, hi hi. But maybe it's time to buy a new embossing pad or a different brand! Curious to try a background like this myself as well!!!

Hi, Wendy!
I stamped all the different doilies with Versamark, and then white embossed them all at the same time, to create an all-over lace effect (I don't have a lace background stamp). I hope that helps! :)
