Just a quick share. I know. It's Friday. And, you were prolly on the hunt for something happy to look at. But, I needed one of these this week. I struggle with these kinds of designs because I'm so accustomed to designing cards for the happier moments we celebrate that I hit a brick wall when it comes to sympathy.
This Remember set by Hero Arts has a lovely assortment of thoughtful sentiments that can be used on the outside and inside of the card--it really helped me with the overall design. I think I'll make a stack to have on hand, in different soft, soothing hues.
Hoping to be back soon to share something bright & cheery! :)
ETA: Some of you have asked how I cut the pattern with the die; I stamped and embossed the sentiment where I wanted it first. Then I aligned the die above the sentiment using my grid mat to help me keep it straight, and used Washi Tape to make sure the die stayed put and ran it thru the machine. Realigned the die under the sentiment, again with the grid mat to make sure I got it positioned straightly and the same distance from the edge as the first cut. Washi tape again, to prevent shifting. Ran it thru a 2nd time.
