ACK!  Taylor had a birthday party to go to directly after school.

"I felt the need, the need for SPEED!" --Maverick & Goose, Top Gun

I love the lines in that movie.  Dave and I know pretty much every single one by heart!

THREE stamps!  That's all it took to whip this baby together!  I was SMOKIN' HOT in the studio this mornin', 10 minutes before he had to fly out the door to snag the bus to school!

Oh, you know it's comin' . . .  uh huh, j'est wait for it . . .

I AM BRILLIANT!!!

I went all out for Taylor's classmate, Mariah.  I mean, do I ever bling it on quite that much???!!!   This is me we're talkin' 'bout!  The resident hoarder.  But, in this case, it worked faboo!  (arms wrapped around self, chortling gleefully!)

I am LOVIN' IT!!!

So, how's your Friday goin'? Hope it's splendiferous!  *wink*

You probably don't need another 5MQ, but . . .

Had this in my head for a while, and finally had a few minutes to make it real. *grin*  I didn't think about it until later, but, I could have used seed beeds for the mistletoe berries . . . next time!

We got our tree . . . it's tradition in our family to go to the tree farm, hunt, and cut down the perfect tree.  This was the first year we weren't mucking about in mud everywhere, so it was an extremely pleasant weather day!

The dialogue usually goes sumpin' like this:

Hdigstree_2

Hayley:  I say we get a BIG tree this year!
(we get a "big" tree every year . . . )

Dontthinkso

Taylor:  YEAH!!!!  At least 10'!!!

Julie:  Are you outta' your mind?  *HOW* do you propose to get the lights on it???

We tramp around for over an hour . . . while I plead, as I always do, to get a Noble Fir just once--they're so lovely for showing off the ornaments . . . *sigh*

But, the children veto the mama. *frown*

Help

Dave:  Geeze.  Is anybody gonna help me cut this thing down???

Helpoldman

The "men" take turns sawing . . . and down she comes . . .

Blessunnoble

We gather around the tree, hold hands . . . tree blessing . . . one by one we offer . . .

Julie mutters:  Bless this tree, even tho it is ginormous and NOT a beautiful, delicate, and reasonably sized Noble Fir . . .

Wegotourtree

Kids:  Heh, heh, heh!!!  SCORE!!!

Oh, Martha, my Martha . . . *chuckle*

I bought this alphabet set *how* long ago???  Ppppffffftttttt!!! I love it, but, have had yet to use it (bad Julie!!!)  I actually used it on something else, but, my colors were mismatched and that project was destined for the circular file . . . (grimace)  But, then . . .  I realized I could trim it off, and use it another way . . .

So, I did--on my luscious, luxurious, virgin Arturo Pink Note Cards!  Ooooh, la laaaaaa!!!  The only thing I'm not happy with?  I didn't properly align the right slot when I punched it, to make sure it was level with the left one . . . prolly a ruler and a faint pencil line will do the trick the next time.  I *hope* if I were to send this out, someone wouldn't sit there and zoom in on that minor/slight inadequacy . . . if they do, I'm snatchin' it back!  Humph! (hair flip)

Fab In Five!

Quickies make me happy--I had to do another one.  Had a devil of a time filming this one--it's very grey and dismal here on the island right now . . . which doesn't ever bother me, cuz I'm not an "outdoorsy" kinda gal anyway . . .  *wink*  But, honestly, it really puts a crimp into things when I'm filming, argh!

The ink color I used on this is a lovely aqua blue/green shade--one of my faves.

We had snow yesterday--beautiful big flakes flurrying and swirling down!  I sat there, with my hubby, snuggling and chatting, and watching it for the entire 20 minutes or so that it fell . . . bliss . . .

But, it had no stickum. and melted all away before there could be any accumulation . . . *despondent sigh*
